Engaged Faculty Institute Curriculum: Facilitator Workshop
ABSTRACT Campus Compact of the Mountain West, California Campus Compact, and Community-Campus Partnerships for Health (CCPH) redesigned and published the Engaged Faculty Institute Curriculum in 2015. The currciulum, based on CCPH's 2007 Faculty Toolkit for Service-Learning in Higher Education, offers a comprehensive, research-based toolkit for guiding faculty members through service-learning course design.Topics range from reciprocal partnerships to cultural competence to assessment and evaluation. The curriculum provides over one hundred resources for service-learning implementation, including case studies, sample forms, reflection activities, and syllabi. The EFI Curriculum Facilitator pre-conference will both introduce participants to the curriculum and model facilitation strategies. The workshop is not an Engaged Faculty Institute--it is intended to familiarize participants with the curriculum and explore strategies for implementing an Engaged Faculty Institute on their campus(es).
